misted christmas eve

the fog finally gets to pencaitland

a christmas robin (one day I will master the manual focus for sure)

Walking in misted woods, if you give them their due, may well be a one-way path; the sound of doves and the secrecy of deer may simply become you; you put down something like roots and there you are, nothing more than a living thing, and nothing less.

heading north -

the days are getting longer

funny, I'm sure I saw a parsnip just like this once

two mushrooms in a fence-post.

I put up the tree today ( a day late); but somehow christmas dosent seem to do the trick these days. Roll on New Year.

Trees down ..... and up again

I've just realized that in clearing up the site, I managed to remove the first half of the lime tree's year; I'll reconstruct it when I've the time; the images from Aug 16th are still there, and it's now up to date (briefly). only another 37 days to go ...

Well, I think I've got it back together again, and all the trees are now back in their proper place

parsnip, I mean parsnip

Did I say turnip? Am I loosing my grip?

while we're on a roll

It's Joel's birthday; happy birthday joel.
I've got a picture of a turnip I want you all to see; I grew it myself. Bet you can't wait.

christmas post

hey, blogger finally managed to post the message I first tried two weeks ago!

Times Bones Revisited

I've just posted three excerpts from the current text of Times Bones, which began life as a children's fiction version of The Architecture of the Spirit. I'm not too sure what it is at present, but it's still fiction, I think.

{since I wrote this Blogger has refused to post it; keep trying ... )

By the way, if you've a couple of day's to spare, watch;
Beyond Belief: Science, Religion, Reason, and Survival [conference at La Jolla, in September this year). Everybody who's anybody (except Dan Dennett I notice) in the battle for reason is there.

If you've only a short time, try Neil deGrasse Tyson's talk.

December VIBGYOR

December arrives with a rainbow round its shoulder.

I have decided to begin research on Vol II of my history of the bagpipe in the Scottish Lowlands. I said I wasn't going to do it, but I am.
I have also made considerable progress with mapping out vol II of the Architecture of the Spirit'; still looking for a decent title.

Meanwhile back at the sushi bar: I was emailed this link from the US today: you might like to follow it,
