The square at Uzes.

Somewhere for the weekend; the Castelas, in the remains of the castle in the village of Agueuse, on a hill top above the Ardeche river.
here are some rather inadequate scenes from the extraoridnary cave at Aven d'Orgnac. I'm afraid it makes the Derbyshire caves seem rather tame.

left of centre here is an urn containing the ashes of M. Joly who first descended the 50 m. down into the cave system.




Back home preparing these pictures I find that I've photographed a ghost;

A trip to south queensferry

didnt we have a lovely day the day we went to South Queensferry

Yes, that's a heron (middle left, right end of the spit of rock)

could be almost anywhere

But it's the Firth of Forth

at very low tide

with a view of Edinburgh from the West (Arthur's Seat in the distance)


And a lost horse in the seaweed

The bridge from the east

and then today was almost indescribable
